TEKANAN BERBUAH KEBENARAN

Yohanes 15 : 1 - 8
"Barangsiapa tinggal di dalam Aku dan Aku di dalam dia, ia akan berbuah banyak, sebab di luar Aku kamu tidak dapat berbuat apa-apa".

"Tertekan", mungkin adalah kata yang paling ditakuti oleh setiap orang. Siapa yang mau tertekan? Pasti tidak ada seorangpun yang mau tertekan. Mungkin sebagian dari kita pernah merasakan bagaimana rasanya tertekan. Tetapi bukan seberapa berat tekanan yang menghimpit kita, melainkan maksud apa yang tersembunyi di balik tekanan itu.

Hal mamalukan yang sering kita lakukan ketika kita merasa tertekan adalah tenggelam dalam kesedihan dan menangis mengasihani diri sendiri. Tanpa sadar kita mengeluarkan kata-kata kasar dari mulut kita, sehingga kata-kata itu menyebabkan teman/saudara kita menjadi sakit hati. Tekanan merupakan sebuah ujian bagi hubungan kita dengan Tuhan.

Bagaimana hubungan pribadi kita dengan Tuhan ketika kita sedang tertekan? Saat seseorang tertekan, ia cenderung untuk melakukan segala sesuatu menuruti kehendak dan keinginannya sendiri. Karena kekuatiran dan ketakutan menghimpit jiwa dan perasaannya. Seseorang akan dengan mudah meninggalkan imannya dan tidak percaya lagi pada janji-janji Allah.

Sebenarnya ketika kita merasa tertekan, kita mempunyai kesempatan untuk bertumbuh. Jika saja kita mau melihatnya dengan cara pandang yang positif. Kehidupan ini tidak akan pernah lepas dari yang namanya tekanan, stress dan musibah. Tetapi ketika kita membiarkan kerohanian kita dipelihara oleh Yesus, maka tekanan itu akan menghasilkan sesuatu yang baru. Kekuatiran kita akan berubah menjadi ketenangan dan pengharapan, kata-kata kasar yang biasa keluar dari mulut kita akan menjadi kata-kata puji-pujian. ROH KUDUS akan senantiasa mengajar dan menolong kita untuk menjadi lebih dekat dengan Tuhan. Dan kehidupan kita akan dipenuhi oleh buah-buah Roh yang kita hasilkan. Sebab lewat tekanan kita pasti akan melihat kemuliaan Allah, asal kita tetap berserah dan percaya padaNya. Tetaplah tinggal di dalam Yesus, sebab di luar Yesus kita tidak bisa berbuat apa-apa.

YANG PENTING BUKAN SEBERAPA BERAT TEKANAN YANG MENGHIMPIT KITA, TETAPI MAKSUD APA YANG TERSEMBUNYI DI BALIK TEKANAN ITU
